Following the reorganisation of Computing Services, which took effect on August 1st 1995, the User Support teams are now integrated into the faculties, and are known as Information Systems Teams.
The Faculty of Humanities & Social Science is supported by a team consisting of:
- Pat is responsible for managing the team, ensuring the quality of service provision and planning future developments in the computing facilities for the Faculty.
Steve Dean - Information Systems Officer
- Steve's areas of expertise lie in SPSS and programming, and he will be jointly taking on the support for the Department of Library & Information Studies over the next academic year.
Carol Lewis - Information Systems Officer
- Carol has just moved over to Chatham from the John Dalton building as part of the Computing Services restructure and is busy organising our procedures and documentation.
Andy Ockrim - Information Systems Officer
- Having also moved over from John Dalton, Andy has become our resident Apple Macintosh expert, and will also be helping develop the support for the Library & Information Studies department.
Daren Vernon - Information Systems Officer
- Daren's primary areas of interest are the Internet and Apple Macintosh machines - he also knows his way round Paradox databases.
The team share their accomodation with the Information Systems Team for the Faculty of Art & Design:
